From 1981 to 2011

Even as a DJ, founder Gary Gauldin knew that his business had to evolve to succeed.

The Early Days

Gary started as a DJ right out of high school. It was the perfect job for him while attending VCU. After becoming one of the area's premier mobile DJ's, Gary used the company name Sonic Sound to promote his business. This proved to be a good choice, as he found himself doing a few easy sound job in addition to DJ'ing.

In 1989, Gary discovered that he needed a promotional video (the hot new thing), but the cost to have someone to produce this video was prohibitive. Having a love for anything AV, he decided to buy his own gear. This created a whole new business that he worked on between DJ gigs. The reborn company name, G Force Productions, was coined by a friend and seemed to fit the direction the company was taking. However, as Gary worked with this name, it seemed to be too much about him..."G". So after some name ideas the ........
